About Mila

What is Mila?

Mila is an online platform for crowd services. Technical services such as installation, commissioning or optimal use of technical devices can be booked via Mila.com.

All services are provided by certified private individuals (Mila Friends) or professional service providers (Mila Pros).

What is a Mila Friend?

Friends are vetted private individuals with technical know-how.

What is a Mila Pro?

Pros are professional service providers (registered companies) who take on more complex service requests.

How are Mila partners vetted?

Mila partners are checked by Mila upon registration. Before they can perform services for customers, a detailed document and data check is carried out for Friends and Pros.

Some services also require appropriate know-how and/or certificates. Our bespoke training platform Mila Academy provides partners with further training and certification.

Customers are asked to give their rating (1 to 5 stars) to each Mila partner. These evaluations are incorporated into the distribution algorithm and help Mila continuously improve the service experience.

All about Service Calls

What criteria are used to distribute service requests?

The service requests are distributed according to two main criteria:

  • Location
  • Skills

If more than one partner qualifies for the service request based on their skills and location, a ranked list is calculated for distribution. The following criteria are included in the calculation of the ranking list:

  • Skill-Level: The partner with the highest skill level is preferred
  • Kundenbewertungen: The partner with the best ratings is preferred

The service request is offered to a partner exclusively for 2 minutes according to the above criteria. If he does not accept this, the request is also offered to the partner with the second highest score for the next 2 minutes, then after another 2 minutes to the partner with the third highest score, and so on. As long as the service request is not accepted, it is accessible to all partners who have received it.

How is a service request accepted?

Service requests are sent to multiple partners to provide customer response security. Our partners receive a notification when a service request is received. Click on the Accept button in the Mila Partner App to accept the request. If the service request has already been accepted by another partner, it is no longer visible in your app inbox. Before you accept a request please be sure that the time, date and location of the service suits you as it cannot be changed.

How do I get paid?

We transfer your payment with commission/service fee deducted for each service order directly to the account (IBAN number) you have provided to us. Our payment provider Adyen requires a confirmation that the given IBAN belongs to your account.

Friend

Mila receives a commission of 20% for each completed service.

  • Customer settles payments via a credit card: The Mila commission is deducted directly from the customer payment. The remaining amount is transferred to the Mila Friend’s account

Pro

Mila charges a variable service fee for each completed service.

  • Customer settles payments via a credit card: The Mila service fee is deducted directly from the customer payment. The remaining amount will be transferred to the Mila Pro’s bank account.

Is the price for Mila services negotiable?

Service from a Mila Friend

All service packages provide a recommended maximum price.

This is a recommended retail price for the selected service. The actual price of the service that you consult directly with the customer may differ.

Service from a Mila Pro

The service packages are provided with a fixed price. According to the contractual agreement, this is not negotiable.

Mila Partner Profile

What does my partner status mean?

You can see your partner status under “My profile”. This is related to the status of the verification documents. Once all documents have been verified, you receive the status “Verified” and can accept service requests from all Enterprise Partners.

If documents such as an extract from the criminal register or police clearance certificate are missing, you will receive the status “provisionally released”. When you upload the missing document, it is checked and its status adjusted.  Some of our enterprise partners require a reputation check. Therefore, you cannot accept all service requests with the status “provisionally released”.

The “under review” status indicates that your documents and profile have not yet been reviewed. As long as your status is “under review” you will not receive any service requests.

Are multiple profiles allowed on mila.com?

Only one profile is allowed per Friend and Pro. For example, a pro may not additionally register as a Friend. Mila reserves the right to delete multiple profiles attributed to the same Friend or Pro without prior notice.

How do I change my profile details?

You can change your details anytime through your Mila profile under the menu item “Edit profile” . Please note that you cannot convert your Friend profile to a Pro profile. To do this, you must register again.
